This exhibition of selected works by three well-known ceramic artists presents a total of nine works from the secondary market. Assembled to exhibit the strength of early work by each artist, the exhibit clearly demonstrates the reasons for continued interest in their work.
Robert Turner's signature forms from the middle 1970s are a quiet balance of form and incision. Peter Voulkos is represented by excellent examples of a rugged vessel, an early painterly plate, and a woodfired tea bowl. John Mason's two early vase forms are accompanied by a superb untitled plate form dated 1964-5.
